Language Courses in Ireland
Our
language courses provide participants, whether beginners or advanced,
with the opportunity to build on their language skills and gain
confidence in a relaxed and creative environment. We develop the
student's listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Our
language tutors meet on a regular basis to monitor the learner's
progress and modify classes accordingly. We use a wide variety of
teaching materials, many of them developed 'in-house', which can be
adopted to suit each participant. Please have a look at our programme to see which courses suit you best.
We use the communicate approach
in all our classes. Our teachers focus on improving the students’
communication skills, mainly through listening and speaking activities
and exercises.
Much of the student’s class time is given over to dialogues, role
plays, discussions, games, short presentations and listening exercises
using authentic sources.
Reading and writing are practiced to improve fluency and accuracy.
Vocabulary and grammar is incorporated into the communications
activities, and supplementary exercises focusing on specific lexical
items are introduced in a structured way.
But the main focus is always on using and developing language to
communicate information. Students develop confidence and fluency in a
supportive and encouraging environment. Click here for more detailed information on the communicative approach.
