General English focuses on integrating the skills of speaking,
listening, reading and writing with pronunciation and grammar
components. The overall emphasis is on improving confidence
and fluency. The
electives offered in periods D & E for Intensive or Intensive-Plus
students, provide students the opportunity to receive additional
tuition in areas of particular interest to them. All
students receive regular progress reports with teacher feedback.
Certificates are available to students upon successful completion.
Students
enrolled in this program may choose between General Integrated
English in the morning or a combination of period D &
E electives in the afternoon.
It is ideal for working students or those without time to
devote to full-time studies.
This
program is available in both the morning and the afternoon.
The morning option includes General
English with an Aural/Oral skills class. The afternoon option
includes a combination of period D & E
electives with Aural/Oral skills in period C.
This

choice. It is ideal for those students planning to transfer
into test-preparation classes.
